MSA Alum Returns as Guest Lecturer

We are excited to welcome David Weisenbeck back to Ocean Lakes High School to share his experience with college research. What started as childhood interest turned into high school independent study and is now paving David’s way to scientific research and publication at college.

Please disregard the testing dates in the brochure.  The correct dates are:

January 15, 2019: 5:00-7:30 pm in the OLHS cafeteria–Testing on this day for Corporate Landing, Kempsville, Landstown, Larkspur, Lynnhaven, Princess Anne, Salem, Virginia Beach Middle Schools as well as home-schooled middle school students

January 17, 2019: 5:00-7:30 pm in the OLHS cafeteria–Testing on this day for Bayside, Brandon, Great Neck, Independence, Old Donation/Brickell, Plaza Middle Schools as well as private-schooled middle school students

January 22, 2019: 5:00-7:30 pm in the OLHS cafeteria–Testing for those who could not attend their school’s designated testing day

Navigating the Journey Q&A

Navigating the Journey was a success!  Standing room only during both sessions and many questions polled in to our student panel.  Because we ran out of time to address all of your polled in questions, we decided to share the answers to your questions here.  We look forward to sharing more about our program at our Open House on November 7th.  

ACCESS College

Our ACCESS Advisor, Mrs. Hall is hosting a Senior Financial Aid Night on Monday, September 24th at 6pm in the Auditorium. There will be a $1000 Scholarship Raffle Drawing at the end of the presentation. The student must be present to win. If you have any questions, please email her at”

The MSA Booster Club will also be present to receive memberships and promote the scholarships they provide.  The MSA Booster Club sponsors 3 scholarships of $1000, $750, and $500. They also review grant applications requesting up to $50.
